Where LG puts the model number
Model numbers on LG laundry start with W (washers) or D (dryers). The label on front loaders is inside the door rim.
| Product type | Where to look |

| TVs & Home Theater | The sticker is on the back panel of the TV, often near the ports. Most smart TVs also show the model code in the settings menu under Support or About, which is easier than pulling a mounted TV off the wall. |
| Washers & Dryers | Front loaders usually have the label on the inside rim of the door opening. Top loaders put it under the lid or on the back of the control console. Dryers tend to use the door opening too. |
| Refrigerators & Freezers | Look on the inside wall of the fresh food section, usually on the left or right side near the top or behind the crisper drawers. |
| Kitchen Appliances | On dishwashers, look along the top or side edge of the door when it is open. Ovens and ranges hide the label behind the storage drawer or on the frame when the oven door is open. Countertop appliances almost always have it on the base. |
| Heating, Cooling & Air | Thermostats show the model on the back of the faceplate or in the settings menu. Window units put the label on the side of the cabinet. Purifiers and dehumidifiers put it on the base or back. |
Getting the official LG manual
LG publishes product documentation on lg.com. Search there with the full model number from the label, then look for a documents, manuals or downloads section on the product page.
If your model isn't listed, try removing the last few characters, which usually only indicate color or region. For discontinued models, look for an archive or legacy products section, or contact LG support directly.
