Where Canon puts the model number
| Product type | Where to look |
|---|---|
| Cameras & Drones | Look on the underside near the tripod socket. Drones print it under the battery bay or on the body. |
| Computers, Printers & Office | Printers usually have the label inside the front access door or on the back. Laptops have it on the underside. Monitors put it on the back panel near the stand. |
Getting the official Canon manual
Canon publishes product documentation on usa.canon.com. Search there with the full model number from the label, then look for a documents, manuals or downloads section on the product page.
If your model isn't listed, try removing the last few characters, which usually only indicate color or region. For discontinued models, look for an archive or legacy products section, or contact Canon support directly.
