Where TP-Link puts the model number
| Product type | Where to look |
|---|---|
| Routers & Networking | Flip the router over. The label on the bottom has the model, hardware version, default Wi-Fi name, and often the admin login address. |
| Smart Home & Security | Check the back of the device or under the mounting plate. For many brands the app shows the exact model under device settings, which is handy once it is mounted. |
Getting the official TP-Link manual
TP-Link publishes product documentation on tp-link.com. Search there with the full model number from the label, then look for a documents, manuals or downloads section on the product page.
If your model isn't listed, try removing the last few characters, which usually only indicate color or region. For discontinued models, look for an archive or legacy products section, or contact TP-Link support directly.
