01 Quick answers
Printer shows as offline
This is almost always a network issue, not a printer fault.
- Restart the printer, your computer and the router.
- On the printer's control panel, check it's connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.
- Open the HP Smart app and remove and re-add the printer.
- On Windows, run HP Print and Scan Doctor, which detects and fixes common connection problems.
- If the network changed, restore the printer's network settings from the control panel and set up Wi-Fi again.
Streaky or faded prints
Run the print quality report and the printhead cleaning tool from the control panel or HP Smart app. Only run cleaning when you see a problem, since it uses ink. Using genuine or HP compatible cartridges matters on "e" models tied to HP+.

06 Owner questions
What does the "e" in 9015e mean?
It marks printers sold with HP+, HP's cloud connected service. HP+ printers need an internet connection and an HP account, and are designed for original HP ink.
How do I clear a paper jam?
Turn the printer off, open the doors the control panel shows, and pull paper out gently in the direction of the paper path. Tearing the paper leaves bits behind that cause repeat jams.
