Where Synology puts the model number
| Product type | Where to look |

| Routers & Networking | Flip the router over. The label on the bottom has the model, hardware version, default Wi-Fi name, and often the admin login address. |
| Computers, Printers & Office | Printers usually have the label inside the front access door or on the back. Laptops have it on the underside. Monitors put it on the back panel near the stand. |
Getting the official Synology manual
Synology publishes product documentation on synology.com. Search there with the full model number from the label, then look for a documents, manuals or downloads section on the product page.
If your model isn't listed, try removing the last few characters, which usually only indicate color or region. For discontinued models, look for an archive or legacy products section, or contact Synology support directly.
